『境界の彼方』クリエイターズメッセージブック
Following the release of the Creator’s Message Books for『K-ON! The Movie』in 2012 and the first season of『Free!』in 2013, Kyoani started publishing this kind of staff book regularly for its animated works. The next anime that got the honour of being commemorated with a staff book is the 2013 TV series『Beyond the Boundary』.
This staff book, entirely printed in black and white on uncoated paper, consists of some 100 pages of illustrated messages by the production staff to the audience. It is the first in this kind that comes with a colophon indicating clearly its date of publication.
To commemorate the deceased, I specifically chose to show in this post the messages drawn / written mostly by victims of the 2019 arson attack.
